“Our bodies and each system within should be treated as a whole, not as a collection of its counterparts. Plant Medicine is a catalyst for the mind, body and spirit to fully awaken. It seeks for the buried causes of suffering, rather than simply covering it up with pharmaceuticals..it makes way for us to truly shed and transform.”

Plant Medicine

The Amazon Rainforest is a pharmacy of foliage that has been protected by indigenous people for thousands of years. But what are they protecting and why?

They are protecting the sacred and ancient medicine which breathes life and healing into our very being. Not only do we need plants to breathe and nourish our bodies, but to heal as well. The hominoids also understood this through thousands of years of consuming mushrooms for medicinal purposes. We have evolved with plants and they have evolved for US. Science has proven plant medicine to heal PTSD, Anxiety, and Depression; rather than band-aid what ails us most, as Modern Medicine and Big Pharma has intended to do. Capitalism has no place within the world of healing, while plants are the medicine to begin the healing.

Trauma is trapped energy in our body. Therefore, we must move this energy using sacred and ancient modalities. Modalities, which have been proven to heal mankind for thousands of years; modalities rooted in the gifts from our Mother Earth. To be found, we must first allow ourselves to get lost. Afterall, without the contrast of darkness, light could not be fully recognized. Plant medicine allows us to shed walls and dissolve layers unknown within us to reveal our true essence.

Bufo Alvarius

Bufo Alvarius is a toad, which secretes venom- often producing hallucinogenic, boundless, experiences within seconds of inhalation. Bufo is a fast-acting, short duration- sometimes lasting briefly 15-90 minutes (on average 25 minutes). It has been called the “god” molecule as people express feeling a god-like presence enabling them the feeling of safety to finally release and let go of what no longer serves them. It can also help others see their own divinity, and believe that they are the creators of their own reality. This medicine opens up the pineal gland, where your higher awareness (ie: crown chakra, third eye) is activated.

As Forbes magazine put it, “In a recent European study, after one single use, the substance 5-MeO-DMT was shown to produce sustained enhancement of satisfaction with life, and easing of anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).” It helps participants remember, overcome, release an immense amount of emotional and physical pain (from injury) and alleviate anxiety.

I am trained by a Curandero from Oaxaca, Mexico out of respect and reverence for this medicine’s indigenous practices and culture. I facilitate it slowly with loving presence and awareness for the unique individual in front of me. Meaning, I first serve the participant a microdose of the medicine to get comfortable and acquainted with ingesting it. This supports the participant in learning how to breathe the medicine in and gauging their sensitivity to the Bufo (ie: whether they need a bigger or smaller full dose). I shower participants in a sound bath with singing bowls, drums, rattles, chimes and sometimes singing medicine songs during the experience.  It is vaporized and entails inhaling vapor of the Bufo Alvarius and holding it in your lungs as long as possible. Once it is in the system the medicine works immediately and takes the participant on a deep inward journey leaving the participant feeling lighter and more clear on life.

Mushrooms (Psilocybin)

Psilocybin journeys can be compared to downloading wisdom directly into your brain, as CNN put it magic mushrooms, “ helps the brain sprout new dendrites, which look like branches on a tree, to increase communication between cells.” This plant increases neuronal outgrowth, branching neurons and increases synapses, which enables neuroplasticity; the brain's ability to literally change shape and develop new thought patterns and behavior. In the same study, it was discovered that Psilocybin is more effective than SSRIs prescribed for depression, anxiety and PTSD due to greater enhancement of brain connectivity.

Psilocybin also supports people to awaken spiritually and somatically. Meaning, to let go of trapped energy in their body and connect more deeply to the core of who you really are as the body naturally releases stored pain and energy throughout the journey. This can show up as nausea, cramps, headache, runny nose, burping etc. All of these bodily responses are welcomed and are also positive, as they are an indication of stored energy and emotion moving out of the body; energy that often leads to mental and physical illness.

I am trained by a Curandero from Oaxaca, Mexico out of respect and reverence for this medicine’s indigenous practices and culture. I facilitate it slowly with loving presence and awareness for the unique individual in front of me. I facilitate Psilocybin journey’s 101 for individuals and also in group settings. 101 ceremony’s take place in my home in Miami, FL and/or your respective home if this is agreed to ahead of time and my cost of travel is covered. The ceremony lasts anywhere from 6-12 hours and goes overnight. I give you a full dose of trauma grade (strains of mushrooms used specifically for emotional healing) Psilocybin (2-4 grams depending on your weight) and is ingested orally through chocolates that have been blessed and prayed over for your healing. You are invited to create an altar of sacred objects and have a physical picture of your childhood-self at the center. I orient this journey toward healing the inner-child and any core wounding surrounding childhood, as our entire foundation of relating to ourselves and others is built upon the experiences we had or didn’t have in childhood.

At the beginning of the journey I take clients through a blind folded guided meditation, including breathwork to drop deeper into their bodies and hearts. I shower participants in a sound bath with singing bowls, drums, rattles, chimes and sometimes singing medicine songs during the experience. After several hours, I invite the participant to rejoin the space if they feel called. During the entire experience participants are encouraged to engage in breath, sound and movement. Coaching, shadow hunting, body work (reiki) and/or emotional release are commonplace after participants rejoin the space, often leading to a major emotional release (sometimes from trauma that is many years old). I offer an integration session as well, 1-3 weeks (based on need of the individual) following the ceremony.

Integration

Having a heart opening experience with plant medicine is profound and beautiful, but what happens when we return to “real life” and are confronted by the same challenges which ailed us before these experiences?

Experiences may vary person to person. Some experiences help us see and feel a sense of “oneness” of being a small counterpart in a big whole where every living being and creature is connected, while others might serve as a deep emotional purge or bring us to a place of extreme physical and mental discomfort while our ego resists breaking through. Whatever the experience, one thing is certain. It is important to acknowledge that if you embark and walk the path of a medicine man, woman or human the most important thing is to not have these novel experiences with medicine, but to actually learn from them. This is what I like to call, “integration.”

Integration Supports:

  • Making sense of your experience

  • Embodying insights into your everyday life

  • Integrating the body-mind-spirit complex

“The integration process is when you make sense of your experience. Oftentimes, psychedelic experiences are symbolic, and you need to ‘decode’ or understand the deeper meaning behind them.

Integration also refers to integrating your insights into your everyday life. In other words, it’s embodying the lessons you have learned and putting them into practice in your daily behavior.

Last but not least, integration means integrating fragmented aspects of body, mind, and spirit back into wholeness, alignment, and balance.”

If you want real and lasting changes, you have to put in your effort, commitment, openness, and willingness to see through this process. My experience as an integration specialist (both as being a witness, participant and facilitator in plant medicine ceremonies) shows that the chances of success increase dramatically when somebody applies the same dedication to their integration process as to their ceremony experience. One of the milestones that signals progress in your integration is leaving behind the victim and the blame and taking full responsibility for your life and your behavior.

Here are 5 benefits to hiring an integration coach:

  • Increased Awareness
Integration helps to cultivate a reflective mindset and expand awareness of the mental patterns that cause suffering. This may involve journaling, meditation, or discussing your experience with your integration specialist.

  • Recognizing Blind Spots
We often say that you can’t change what you don’t know. The first step towards change is awareness. However, often we have a complete lack of awareness—so-called blind spots—and we find ourselves stuck in repetition. It can be hard to see all parts of your story when you are in your story! An experienced integration facilitator can spot those blind spots much easier and reflect them back to you. When it comes to ‘blind spots,’ someone like this is a tremendous help.

  • Changing Behavior
A guided integration process allows the individual to process mental and emotional content as it arises. The process helps them go deeper, eventually reaching the root of the problem. Only when we manage to uproot our suffering does real change occur that will last over time.

  • Emotional Processing and Support
Psychedelic experiences can evoke an emotional release of long-stored suppressed emotions. These experiences can sometimes be overwhelming. They, therefore, require guidance and support to let go and not suppress what arises. A safe container is a must to support deep emotional healing and expression. This may involve engaging in practices such as breathwork, somatic experiencing, or expressive arts to safely explore and release emotions.

  • Faster and Easier Process
When you have a map and an experienced guide, you have a smoother journey—even in an unknown territory. Without a map and a guide, you are more likely to get lost, stuck, or give up on your journey. Even if you find your way out, it will take more time, and you will definitely endure more pain.

*I offer single integration sessions for $222 an hour as well as packages, including 5 integration sessions. If you buy a package of integration sessions I will give you a $100 discount off of the total cost of sessions!*

“From a young age I knew there was more to life, more to me than my immediate environment. Home was hell and hell was home. I grew up in abuse, poverty, violence, addiction and neglect, and although the odds did not seem to be in my favor from a young age, my will to seek to understand the root of human suffering; of my suffering was always present.

I went through years of talk therapy and Western approach to mental health, until one day I sat with Psilocybin and all the grief and rage from my upbringing began to thaw out and melt away. At that point I began to lose hope and have serious physical health challenges from all the unprocessed trauma in my body, heart and spirit. Talk therapy was like sweeping the attic (brain), while the foundation (body, spirit & heart) of the rest of my home was deteriorating and collapsing beneath me.

Several years later I sat with Ayahuasca and Mescaline (San Pedro & Peyote), years and years of built up grief, resentment and disempowering “stories” came into focus, and I finally had understanding of where not only my mind, but heart, body and spirit stood in the process of healing. I released so much shame, grief and anger in these ceremonies; so much of what was burying my innate magic, my essence through dense layers of my past. I shed so much sadness, and a new space was created in its place for someone new to be born. Someone who had the power to create a new story, a new reality.

It wasn’t until I received Bufo Alvarius, from my now Curandero (Indigenous Plant Medicine Teacher & Facilitator) that I was able to truly and wholeheartedly let go. I was immediately able to access the deepest layers of grief, which I wasn’t even aware were still inside of me. I felt the weight lifted immediately, not only did I feel a weight lift, but the presence of something watching over me as well. I felt a “godlike” presence if you will, reminding me that I was safe and loved and could let it all go now, give that pain back to the earth and the sky because “she” and “he” can hold it. These medicines healed me, naturally- with nothing but nature.

I offer this work because I fully believe in the power of plant medicine’s ability to transform and heal not only myself, but others as well. I have now made it a part of my life purpose to pay it forward in service to the collective healing of others”
